According to the information received from the Election Commission, 15.25 lakh voters in the age group of 18 to 19 years will cast their vote for the first time in West Bengal. The total number of voters in the state is 7.58 crore. Of these, there are 3.85 crore male and 3.73 crore female voters. In this election, the total number of voters above 85 years of age in the state is 4.86 lakh.

How many disabled voters are there?

There are 4.92 lakh disabled voters. The number of service voters is 1.14 lakh and the number of third gender voters is 1,837. Special arrangements have been made for elderly voters in the state. Such voters will be able to vote through ballot paper from home. If any complaint about any disturbance or uproar during elections is made to the Commission, action will be taken by the Election Commission within 100 minutes. At the same time, criminal cases will be registered against people who cast fake votes.

Separate polling booth for disabled and women voters

This time, special arrangements are being made for Persons with Disability (PWD) i.e. disabled and women voters in the Lok Sabha elections. Separate polling booths will be prepared for disabled and women voters. The special thing is that the polling stations opened for the disabled will be operated only by the disabled polling personnel. At the same time, the polling stations prepared for women will also be operated by women and the responsibility of security here will also be on women security personnel.
