Live telecast of Ram Mandir Pran Pratistha ceremony cannot be stopped on verbal order: Supreme Court

Hearing a PIL filed against the order to ban live telecast of Ram Mandir Pran Pratistha ceremony, the Supreme Court on Monday said that instead of any verbal order, work should be done as per the law. The court said that no one is bound to follow the oral order banning the live telecast of the Pran Pratistha ceremony of Ram temple in temples.

There is no restriction on live telecast of puja or consecration ceremony.

The Supreme Court also recorded the statement of the Tamil Nadu lawyer that there is no restriction on live telecast of ‘puja archana’ or consecration ceremony in temples. The court issued this direction today after a PIL claimed that the state has banned the live telecast of the Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha ceremony. The court said that live telecast cannot be stopped just because people from other communities live in the area.

BJP approached the Supreme Court

It is noteworthy that BJP had approached the Supreme Court against the order allegedly banning the live telecast of Ram Mandir Pran Pratistha ceremony. While hearing the same petition, the court has given this order, let it be known that the consecration ceremony is being telecast live in many temples of the country today.
