The Personnel Cell has started its preparations for the Lok Sabha elections to be held this year. A list of officers and employees working in all central and state government offices has been summoned. More than 15 thousand officers and personnel will be put on duty during the elections. According to authorized sources, a letter has been sent to the heads of all the departments of the state government regarding the possible Lok Sabha elections in March and April. Similarly, a letter has also been sent to the heads of private and public sector undertakings of the Central Government asking them to provide the list and number of full-time employees. There are total 2378 polling stations in Dhanbad district. To conduct elections, 10,464 polling personnel will be required only for the booths. Apart from this, sector magistrate, zonal magistrate, police officers and personnel will be required. The list that is coming for voting. This may cause problems in the deployment of polling personnel, especially presiding officers.

Discussion on objection in meeting with political parties

A meeting was held in the Collectorate on Tuesday under the chairmanship of District Deputy Election Officer Pradeep Shukla. Representatives of all recognized political parties were present in it. The list of claims received in the brief voter list revision campaign, especially the applications for deletion of names, has been made available to all political parties. Copies of Forms 9, 10, 11 and 11A were given. All parties have been asked to give their suggestions on the objections by January 12. The final publication of the voter list will take place on January 22.

LED van will roam from January 10

On the instructions of the Election Commission, LED campaign vehicles will roam in all the assembly constituencies of Dhanbad district from January 10. One van has been allotted for each assembly constituency. People will be informed about EVM and VVPAT by visiting each booth.
