In this, the bank employees go to the home of the pension holder and get the proof of his survival verified.
Door step banking is different for every bank. According to the current rules, Door Step Life Certificate service can be availed by any senior citizen above 70 years of age who is unable to walk. For this, it is necessary for the customer to have KYC and the mobile number must be registered with the account.
Door Step Life Certificate Service is currently being provided by State Bank of India. The charges for door step banking are different for different banks. However, for financial and non-financial transactions like submission of life certificate, a fee of Rs 70 plus GST has to be paid by the bank.
You can register yourself for doorstep banking. For this, first install the Door Step Banking app in your mobile. Register yourself by entering your mobile number in it. After this, OTP will come on your mobile. After entering this, enter all the information like your name, email ID and PIN. After this enter your address and pin code.
