Less passengers found in 727 buses of UP Roadways, department gave notice to 11 officers, ARM suspended in these two districts

Despite strict orders in UP Roadways, buses carrying less than 25 passengers are running indiscriminately on the roads. Due to which the department is facing huge loss in income. The survey conducted by Principal Manager (Operations) Manoj Kumar Pundir of the Transport Corporation has revealed great negligence of the officials. Officials ran buses in 727 buses with less than 25 passengers, due to which answers have been summoned from 11 officials. A survey regarding passengers and income per bus was conducted on 25th and 26th December, in which the negligence of 11 regional officers has been exposed. These officials not only monitored their buses, their mismanagement has affected the income of the roadways. Many such buses were also found during investigation, in which only one to five passengers were traveling. In such a situation, MD Masoom Ali Sarwar has sought reply within three days against 11 officers who were negligent. In the report, the MD has written that why should not a censure entry be recorded in the character register of the regional managers Lucknow, Ayodhya, Noida, Ghaziabad, Aligarh and Gorakhpur. Their work has not been found satisfactory.

Let us tell you that the officers from whom answers have been sought include RK Tripathi, Regional Manager of Lucknow Zone, Vimal Rajan of Ayodhya, apart from RMs of Gorakhpur, Noida, Hardoi, Agra, Bareilly, Moradabad, Aligarh, Ghaziabad and Etawah. They will have to reply by January 1st. If satisfactory answer is not received, action will be taken. Officials said that in view of cold and fog, it is prohibited to carry less than 25 passengers in roadways buses. In such a situation, when the passengers were less, they should have been made to sit in other buses, but the drivers and conductors did not do so. For this reason, the MD has sought answers from 11 officials of the state and sought clarification.

Out of 152 buses in Lucknow region, 49 were found short of passengers. Similarly, in 42 out of 136 buses in Ayodhya area, in 28 out of 77 buses in Noida area, in 68 out of 117 buses in Hardoi area, in 48 out of 56 buses in Agra area, in 120 out of 137 buses in Bareilly area. In 119 out of 242 buses of Moradabad region, 20 out of 43 buses of Etawah region, 74 out of 163 buses of Gorakhpur region, 74 out of 128 buses of Aligarh region and 92 out of 210 buses of Ghaziabad region. Passengers have been found.

Two ARMs suspended for not following instructions

MD Masoom Ali Sarwar suspended two ARMs on Friday on several counts, including poor load factor, negligence in work and lack of control over subordinates. This includes ARM Kailash Ram of Siddharthnagar Depot Gorakhpur area and ARM Ramdas in-charge of Baraut Depot Meerut area, who did not show promptness in the work. Both these officers have been attached to the headquarters.
