Land for Job Scam: ED will interrogate Tejashwi Yadav today, read what all was asked from Lalu Prasad

RJD supremo and former Railway Minister Lalu Prasad was interrogated by the ED for 10 hours in Patna on Monday in the case of land in exchange for Group D job of Railways. The interrogation started at around 11 in the morning and continued till 9 in the night. At 9:05, Lalu Prasad came out of the IDI office alone. His daughter Misa Bharti, who was waiting outside, met him and took him back to Rabri residence. Today (Tuesday, January 30) ED will interrogate Lalu Prasad’s younger son Tejashwi Yadav.

Earlier, when Lalu Prasad reached the ED office at 11 am on Monday, his daughter MP Misa Bharti was also with him. Misa Bharti and other supporters left Lalu Prasad till the gate of ED office. Since no one else was allowed inside, Misa Bharti and others camped in a temple in front. During interrogation, ED asked Lalu Prasad more than 60 questions in different ways related to the land-for-job scam.

Lalu Prasad answered all the questions thoughtfully. ED sources say that Lalu Prasad took an average of more than 90 seconds to answer each question. In view of the party supporters gathered outside the ED office, Central Reserve Police Force has also been deployed for security.

ED is waiting for Tejashwi today

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has called former Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav for questioning in the land-for-jobs case. The agency has called him for questioning on January 30 at the ED’s office in Patna. For this, on January 19, the ED official reached Rabri residence and gave notice.

When Lalu Prasad was the Railway Minister, between 2004 and 2009, many people were given jobs in Group-D after taking land in various railway divisions. The land from the job takers was transferred to the name of the family members of the then Railway Minister Lalu Prasad and a related company, AK Infosystems Private Limited. ED had earlier claimed in a statement that Katyal was the director of this company. The registered address of the company is D-1088, New Friends Colony, New Delhi, which is the residence of Lalu Prasad Yadav and his family members.

ED said- Rabri’s former employee had taken property as bribe

The ED on Monday said a former employee of Rabri Devi’s Gaushala acquired property from a person seeking a job in the Railways and later transferred it to his daughter Hema Yadav. The ED said in a statement that as per the CBI FIR and charge sheet, the candidates were asked to transfer land as bribe in exchange for jobs in the Railways. The ED said Lalu Prasad’s family members Rabri Devi, Misa Bharti, Hema Yadav, who were named as accused in the prosecution complaint, had received land from the families of the candidates in exchange for a nominal sum of Rs.
