Land for job case: CBI again seeks time for supplementary charge sheet, next hearing now on June 1

Patna. A hearing was held today in Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court in the case of job in exchange of land. During the hearing, Misa Bharti, the accused in the case, was present in the Rouse Avenue Court. Accused Misa Bharti reached Rouse Avenue Court on Monday morning. During the hearing in the court, the CBI once again sought time from the court to file the supplementary charge sheet. The court has now fixed the date of June 1 for the next hearing of the matter.

Time was sought on March 29 as well

Earlier on March 29, a hearing was held in the Rouse Avenue Court in this case. On that day, the accused were asked to give a copy of the charge sheet. CBI had asked the court for 4 weeks time to present the supplementary charge sheet. After this, the court had kept the date of May 8 for the next hearing in this matter. Rabri and Misa Bharti reached Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court in the hearing on 29 March. But supremo Lalu was not present during the hearing. No other members of the Lalu family, including Lalu Yadav and Rabri Devi, accused in the land-for-job case, did not appear in the court.

Case filed against Lalu family along with 16 other people

All the accused involved in this case including the Lalu family have already been granted bail. The entire family has already been questioned continuously in this matter. Lalu Prasad is accused of giving jobs by taking land from Group D candidates of Railways while being Railway Minister from 2004 to 2009. After investigation in this case, CBI has registered a case against Lalu Yadav, Rabri Devi and her daughter Misa Bharti along with 16 other people. CBI has sought time from the court for the second consecutive time in this case. Now the court will hear it on June 1.
