Rajinikanth starrer Laal Salaam collected Rs 3.55 crore at the box office on the first day. Instead of increasing, the film’s collection on the first Saturday fell and the film collected only Rs 3.25 crore at the box office.
Now, as per Sacknilk’s estimates, the sports drama has earned Rs 3 crore on its first Sunday. The film is clearly struggling to cross the Rs 10 crore mark at the box office.
Directed by Aishwarya Rajinikanth, the film also features cricket legend Kapil Dev in a cameo. The supporting roles include actors like Livingston, Senthil, Jeevitha, KS Ravikumar, Thambi Ramaiah and Vivek Prasanna.
Talking about the work front, Rajinikanth will be seen in ‘Thalaivar 170’ with Amitabh Bachchan. The two superstars were last seen together in 1991 in the heart-touching family drama ‘Hum’.
According to reports, ‘Thalaivar 170’ is based on a true incident and Rajinikanth will reportedly play the role of a cop. The film will be directed by TJ Gannavel, who is known for his film ‘Jai Bheem’.
Rajinikanth was last seen in ‘Jailor’ alongside Mohanlal, Tamannaah Bhatia, Shiva Rajkumar Sunil, Jackie Shroff, Ramya Krishnan and Yogi Babu. This film became one of the biggest blockbusters of 2023.
