Kurmi Protest|Indian Railways|In support of the demand for Adivasi (Scheduled Tribe) status to Kudmis kudmi movement continues. The Howrah-Mumbai rail route and the highway have been completely blocked by the agitators. Due to this, the train service on this route has come to a complete standstill. The impact of the movement of Kudmis is also being seen on the railway service of Jharkhand. Many trains running from Ranchi Railway Division have been cancelled.
4 trains running from Ranchi were canceled
On Saturday, it was informed by South Eastern Railway Ranchi Division that at least 4 trains have been cancelled. In this Barauni-Coimbatore Special Express TrainBokaro Steel City-Asansol MEMU Passenger Special Train, Asansol-Ranchi MEMU Passenger Special Train and Ranchi-Asansol MEMU Passenger Special Train have been canceled on 8th April.
Kudmi’s movement is going on in Adra and Kharagpur Railway Division
In the information given by the South Eastern Railway, it has been said that the program of protest is going on by the Kudmi Samaj at Kotshila station of Adra Mandal. The public agitation which started on April 5 on the railway tracks at Khemashuli station of Kharagpur division and Kustor station of Adra division is continuing on April 8 as well. That’s why many trains have been cancelled.
