The police registered a case against Mufti Salman, event organizers Mohammad Yusuf Malik and Azim Habib Odedra.

According to the information given by the police, after a video of the speech surfaced on social media, a case was registered against Azhari, permanent organizer Mohammad Yusuf Malik and Azim Habib Odedara under section 153B of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) (combat between different religious groups). A case has been registered under sections 505 (promoting enmity) and 505 (making statements to create public nuisance). Malik and Habib were arrested last Saturday while the police was searching for Azhari. Gujarat Police traced Azhari’s hideout to Mumbai and arrested him on Sunday. The accused has been sent to Junagadh, where he will be presented in the court on Tuesday.
