However, Simaria-Ounta four-lane highway, elevated road in Begusarai city, four-lane Rajauli-Bakhtiyarpur package along with three highways, Kanhauli-Ramnagar, four-lane Bakhtiyarpur-Mokama, two-lane and four-lane Chhapra-Hajipur NH will also be ready from June to December 2024. According to sources, Simaria-Onta fourlane highway of about 8.15 km length is being built on NH-31 at a cost of about Rs 1161 crore. The deadline to complete its construction is 29 October 2024. Ganga bridge of Sixlane is also included in this. With its construction, road connectivity of North and South Bihar will be improved. To relieve the traffic jam in Begusarai city, the deadline for construction of a four-lane elevated road on NH-31 of about 4.2 km length at a cost of Rs 255.99 crore is 23 December 2024.
Rajauli-Bakhtiyarpur and Patna Ring Road
Apart from this, the deadline for completing the construction of four lane Rajauli-Bakhtiyarpur Package Three Highway on NH-30 in length of about 50.89 km at a cost of about Rs 2310 crore is 27 June 2024. With its construction, road connectivity will improve in the area of South Bihar. At the same time, the construction of Six Lane Kanhauli-Ramnagar, part of Patna Ring Road, the first package of NH-131G, with a length of about 39 km, is likely to be completed by January 31, 2024 at a cost of about Rs 797 crore. With its construction, Patna city will start getting relief from traffic jams.
Bakhtiyarpur-Mokama and Chhapra-Hajipur
The construction of NH-31 four-lane Bakhtiyarpur-Mokama, included in the plan to improve roads, is about 44.60 km long and the deadline for completion is by June 30, 2024, at a cost of about Rs 878.94 crore. With the construction of this road, road connectivity between Patna and South Bihar to North Bihar will be improved. The construction of NH-19 two-lane and four-lane Chapra-Hajipur road with a length of about 66.74 km is likely to be completed by June 30, 2024 at a cost of about Rs 575 crore. Its construction started in the year 2009 itself. The main reason for the delay in completion of its construction by about 10-11 years is said to be the problem of land acquisition.
