Ranchi: Apart from cash transactions, details of the land occupied by Hemant Soren were found from the mobile phone of Bhanu Pratap Prasad, a revenue employee of the zonal office located in Badagain, Ranchi. This detail was prepared by revenue employee Bhanu Pratap in the light of instructions given by the Chief Minister’s Office. During the survey, this land was found to be in possession of Hemant Soren. Rs 36.34 lakh cash was found at Hemant Soren’s residence in Delhi. Apart from this, documents related to the ongoing investigation regarding land acquired through fraud were found. This has been mentioned in the production petition presented by the ED in the court.
It has been said in the petition that during the investigation of the case (RNZO/18/2022) related to the purchase and sale of land occupied by the army through fraud, a gang was detected. Revenue employee Bhanu Pratap is a member of this gang. 11 trunks of documents were seized from his house. In this, documents related to land have been tampered on a large scale. Information was shared with the government on this point. On this information, an FIR was lodged at the Sadar police station at the government level. This was recorded as ECIR. The revenue employee got detailed details of cash transactions and 8.5 acres of land located at Baragain from mobile data.
This detail was prepared by the revenue employee in the light of the instructions sent by the Chief Minister’s Office. During the survey conducted by ED, all the plots were found inside a boundary wall. Also, the land was found to be in possession of former CM Hemant Soren. The crime is being proceeded under section 2(1)(u)r/w and 2(1)(v) of PMLA. The facts found in the investigation reveal that Hemant Soren is related to Bhanu Pratap. He, along with Bhanu Pratap, is among those who acquired wealth through ill-gotten gains. ED sent summons to him for the purpose of investigation, but he kept denying the summons. After this he was arrested for further investigation.
