  • ED had summoned Arvind Kejriwal for questioning in the liquor scam case. However, Arvind Kejriwal (Arvind Kejriwal) Did not go to ED office. Rather, he filed this petition a day before in the Delhi High Court in which he said that he is ready to join the interrogation but he should be spared from any kind of punitive action.
  • The hearing on this case started in the Delhi High Court on the morning of 21 March. During the hearing, the judge ordered the ED that if there is any evidence against Kejriwal in this case, then it should first show it to the court. For this, the court gave time till 2.30 pm to ED.
  • After the hearing started once again, the ED files reached the chamber. Meanwhile, the judge made a scathing comment to the ED and said that if you have to make an arrest then who has stopped you, why are you sending summons again and again? In response to this, the ED official said that we are just calling him for questioning, after that we may or may not arrest him.
  • The hearing of the case was completed and the court sentenced Arvind Kejriwal (Arvind Kejriwal) refused to grant any relief in this case. The court said that at this stage we cannot provide any kind of security or relief from punitive action. The hearing of the case was completed in Delhi High Court and Arvind Kejriwal did not appear in the court even on the 9th summons.

Meanwhile, a petition was filed on behalf of Kejriwal in the Supreme Court against the arrest by ED.
  • On Friday morning, many Aam Aadmi Party workers took to the streets to protest against the arrest and the Supreme Court agreed to hear the petition filed immediately. Then Abhishek Manu Singhvi withdrew the petition and argued that Kejriwal would first present his case in the lower court.
