After returning to work, KK Pathak is back in action once again. In view of the severe cold in Bihar, he has raised questions on the order given by the District Magistrates to close schools up to class 8th. While advising all the District Magistrates and Commissioners, KK Pathak has asked what kind of winter or cold wave is going on in Bihar which is falling only on schools and not on coaching institutes. Also, KK Pathak directed to withdraw the order to close the school. Despite this instruction from Pathak, the DM of Nalanda district has once again extended the duration of school holidays due to cold.

Holidays of primary schools of Nalanda district extended

Actually, cold and cold wave continues continuously in Nalanda district. Keeping in mind the adverse effects on the health of children in view of the continuous severe cold and cold wave in the district, the District Officer shashank mascot Once again instructions have been issued to postpone studies in primary schools.

Holidays extended till 23rd January

According to the instructions issued by Shashank Shubhankar, studies for students from class 1 to class 8 in all government and private schools of the district will now remain closed till January 23. Whereas for students of class 9th and above, instructions have been given to conduct school cautiously between 9:00 am to 3:30 pm. During this period, all Anganwadi centers and nursery and pre-nursery schools in the district will also remain closed.

Mission Daksh’s class will continue

As per the instructions of the District Officer, Mission Daksh run in schools and special classes run for board exams will continue as before. Earlier, in view of the outbreak of cold wave in the district, the operation of primary schools was postponed by the District Magistrate from January 13 to January 16 and it was extended to January 17 to 18 and then for the third time from January 19 to 20.

Let us tell you that after returning from leave, ACS K Pathak has sent a letter to all the divisional commissioners of the state. In which he has given instructions to withdraw the order to close the school. In the letter issued by KK Pathak, it has been said that due to cold or cold wave recently, various orders were given by the district administration in different districts of different divisions. Looking at these orders it appears that these decisions have been taken under Section 144. But closure of school under Section 144 is a serious and legal matter.

Questions raised on the decision to close schools

Regarding the use of this section, KK Pathak said that if we use such a section of the law, then we should take care that the order passed under it stands judicial scrutiny. This situation should apply equally to everyone. He has raised questions on the decision to close schools and asked why only schools have been closed under this section. Why were coaching institutes, cinema halls, malls, shops etc. closed or their timings not controlled?
