Kia Electric Car in India: Kia Motor India, a subsidiary of South Korean company Hyundai Motor, is preparing to launch a new affordable electric car to compete with the Nexon EV car of India’s domestic car manufacturer Tata Motors and capture its market share. According to media reports, the price of Kia’s new electric car will be around the Tata Nexon EV SUV car. Although, the company has not yet disclosed its price, but the company has indicated this while unveiling the Sonet facelift. Along with this, the name of the new affordable electric car coming from Kia Motors has not been officially disclosed.
Kia’s new electric car will be unique in India
Mungs Sik Sohan, Chief Sales and Business Officer of Kia India, said that the company’s upcoming new affordable electric car will be unique for the Indian market. He claims that this car will be such that the people of India have never seen such an electric car before. He said that although I cannot reveal its name and price right now, it will be much cheaper than Tata Nexon EV. He said that our target is to sell about 10,000 units of this car annually in India.
What is the price of Tata Nexon EV?
Let us tell you that the price of Tata Nexon EV in ex-showroom is between Rs 14.74 to 14.94 lakh. This electric SUV car of Tata Motors is one of the top selling cars. Just in the last month of November, the company has sold about 14,916 units of Nexon. Apart from this, since its launch in 2020, Tata Motors has sold around 50,000 units of this model. Not only this, in the first half of 2023, an increase of about 137 percent was recorded in the sales of this car and during this period the company sold more than 48,000 units. Tata Nexon EV has about 20 percent share in the electric car market.
What will be the range of the car?

The reason for this is that this electric car is still under development, but it will be much higher than the Nexon EV. However, he admitted that the company faces some challenges in making a truly affordable mass-market EV in India.
