Kia Carens facelift 2024: KIA has launched its 2024 Carens with many changes. The Korean auto giant has updated the Carensa lineup by introducing nine new variants, taking the total number of variants to 30. Major changes include a new diesel powertrain, many new features and a new exterior color. The price of the new variant starts from ₹ 12.12 lakh (ex-showroom). The top-end X-Line variant, which has now been updated with special features, will be priced at ₹19.67 lakh (ex-showroom).

Kia Carens New Variant
The Kia Carens facelift gets a new 1.5-litre diesel engine mated to a six-speed manual transmission unit. This has helped the carmaker add nine new variants spread across trims. The new U2 1.5 VGT diesel manual option will be available in both six and seven seat variants. These variants are available in trims like Premium, Premium (O), Prestige, Prestige+, Luxury and Luxury+.

Kia Car’s New Features
Kia has increased the feature list of the X-Line version of the Carens which was first launched in October last year. Additional features added specifically to this trim include dashcam and voice commands to control all windows. Kia has also added a seven-seat configuration to the X-Line which was previously sold with only six seats. The charger supplied with the Carens X-Line is now more powerful with a new 180W charger, replacing the old 120W charger. This feature is now standard in all variants of the car.

Kia Carens Color Options
Kia has updated the number of exterior color options for the Carens. The carmaker has added Pewter Olive color to all trims except the X-Line variant. This color was earlier introduced in the Kia Seltos facelift SUV. In total, Kia Carens customers will now be able to choose between eight single-tones, three dual-tones and a sole matte-grey color available exclusively in the X-Line trim.
Kia Car’s Gear Box
Kia offers the Carens with three engine options which include 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol, 1.5-litre turbo petrol and 1.5-litre diesel unit. The U2 1.5 VGT diesel engine now gets a new six-speed manual gearbox in addition to the six-speed automatic gearbox. This engine is capable of producing power of 113 bhp and peak torque of 250 Nm.
Kia Carens Other Variants
Kia has also added many features to other variants of the Carens. Available with both six-speed automatic and seven-speed DCT gearbox, the Prestige+ (O) trim gets a sunroof, LED map lamps and room lamps. The Prestige (O) trim comes with both six- and seven-seat configurations, features a leather-wrapped gear knob, smart key with push-button start, LED rear combination lamp, LED DRL and positioning lamp. The Premium (O) trim also gets keyless entry, 8-speaker audio system, steering wheel-mounted controls, shark fin antenna, burglar alarm and enhanced safety features.
Kia Cars Price
The starting price of the new variant of Carens introduced by Kia is ₹ 12.12 lakh (ex-showroom). With the latest update, the The Car’s starting price is ₹10.52 lakh (ex-showroom) for the entry-level premium variant with 1.5-litre petrol and seven-seat configuration.
