Correspondent, Kharsawan: On Thursday night, in Jenasahi village located in Telaydih Panchayat of Amda OP area, the husband killed his wife by beating her with a stick due to a personal dispute. Amda police arrested the murderer husband on Saturday and sent him to jail. According to the information, Ranjit Mudi had a dispute with his wife Basanti Mudi over making Hadiya at home. Angered by this, Ranjit Mudi attacked his wife Basanti Mudi with a stick. She got injured and fell down. He died after some time. Getting timely treatment probably would have saved his life. On receiving the information, Amda OP police on Saturday arrested the murder accused husband Ranjit Mudi and sent him to judicial custody. After postmortem, the body was handed over to the family members for last rites. The blood stained stick used in the murder has been recovered.
