Former Chief Minister and senior BJP leader B.S. The FIR registered against Yediyurappa under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act was handed over to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) on Friday for further investigation. Director General of Police Alok Mohan in his message told Bengaluru Police that the case has been handed over to CID for further investigation with immediate effect.

According to Sadashivnagar police, a case has been registered against Yediyurappa under Section 8 of the POCSO Act and Section 354 A (sexual harassment) of the Indian Penal Code on the complaint of the mother of a 17-year-old girl. The victim’s mother has alleged in the complaint that the incident happened on February 2 when she had gone with her daughter to meet Yediyurappa (81) at his residence.

Rejecting the allegation, Yediyurappa said that the woman was trying to meet him, but was not allowed to enter his house. He said, when she was crying, I called her to my house and met Police Commissioner B. Talked to Dayanand that some injustice had happened to him. However, when she started speaking against me in front of me, I concluded that this woman is not right. Yediyurappa alleged that after meeting the Police Commissioner, the woman gave a different color to the matter.
