In Kanpur, the traffic police has made arrangements for diversion as well as parking regarding the bath of Kartik Purnima. According to the police, this diversion will remain in effect from the evening of 26th November till the end of Ganga bathing on 26th November. An appeal has been made to the city residents to pass through the prescribed routes only. Let us tell you that on Kartik Purnima, devotees will come to more than a dozen ghats of the city to take a bath in the Ganga. About 2 lakh devotees are likely to come to the Ganga ghats.
The traffic plan will be like this
1. Any medium or heavy vehicles from Unnao which have to go to Chaubepur will not be able to come towards Bithoor Shanidev intersection via Pariyar bridge, such vehicles will go via Ganga Barrage via Mandhana.
2. Heavy/medium heavy vehicles from Chaubepur will not be able to come to Shanidev Chauraha Bithoor, they will be able to reach the destination via Mandhana Ganga Bairaj.
3. Heavy/medium vehicles coming from Mandhana intersection will not be able to go towards Chunggi intersection, Bithoor from Blueward intersection, they will be able to go to their destination via Ganga barrage from Yashkothari intersection.
4. Heavy/medium vehicles coming to Mandhana and Kalyanpur will not be able to go from Yashkothari intersection towards Chunggi intersection Bithoor, they will be able to go towards Ganga Barrage.
5. Four wheelers/six wheelers or other big passenger vehicles will not be able to go towards Bithoor from Yashkothari intersection, such vehicles will be able to go towards Bithoor from Blueward intersection.
6. No heavy/medium vehicles will be able to go to Atal Ghat Karbala from Ganga Barrage, such vehicles will go from Kalyanpur via Yash Kothari intersection.
7. No heavy/medium vehicles will be able to go towards Karbala/Gangabairaj from Mainavati Marg and Company Bagh, such vehicles will be able to go towards the destination from Ramadevi or Kalyanpur via GT Road.
8. Vehicles will not be able to go to Bima Chauraha and Jajmau via VIP Road, vehicles will go to Ramadevi and Kalyanpur via GT Road.
9. From Phulbagh intersection, four wheelers will not be able to turn right from Meghdoot intersection and go towards Sarsaiyaghat intersection, such vehicles will be able to reach their destination via Bada intersection.
There will be parking of vehicles here
1. Vehicles coming from Unnao Seema Pariyar bridge will be able to park their vehicles on the left bank on Dhruv Tila road.
2. Vehicles coming from Chaubepur will park their vehicles before Shanidev intersection.
3. Vehicles coming to Bithoor from Blueward Tiraha will park near Maa Pitambara Temple before Chunggi intersection.
4. Devotees coming to Parmat Ghat from routes like Company Bagh / Rawatpur etc. will park their vehicles in Vakkal parking.
5. Devotees going towards Parmat Temple via Phulbagh, Police Line road will be able to park their vehicles on the side of Greenpark Stadium before Union Bank Tiraha.
6. Devotees coming from Atalghat/Gangabairaj via Company Bagh and Mainawati route will be able to park their vehicles from Karbala intersection towards the road of Karbala Masjid.
7. Devotees coming to Sarsaiyaghat from Phoolbagh/Bada Chauraha will be able to park on both sides of the road between Sarsaiyaghat to Chetna Chauraha.
8. Devotees coming to Sarsaiyaghat from Company Bagh/Green Park will be able to park their vehicles in Dial 112 ground.
9. Devotees going to Siddhanath Ghat will park their vehicles at the pre-determined parking spot from the Ghat.
