Kanpur : The traffic police in Kanpur will now put a QR code on the e-rickshaws running in the city giving complete information about the vehicle, its driver and owner. This code will be issued by the traffic police only. If an e-rickshaw does not have QR, it will be considered that it does not meet the standards. Police will take action against such e-rickshaws.
DCP Traffic Raveena Tyagi held a meeting with e-rickshaw training school operators in Police Lines. There was discussion regarding installation of QR code. In this QR, along with complete details of the e-rickshaw, there will also be details about the driver and his training. In case of any untoward situation, with the help of QR, details can be extracted and information can be given to the owner. The operators of the e-rickshaw driving school assured cooperation. DCP Traffic Raveena Tyagi said that it is mandatory for e-rickshaw drivers to take 10 days training. This year the number of certificates is less, action will be taken.
Drivers molest women
The women police themselves investigated the teasing and anarchy of the drivers. When the women policemen in plain clothes reached Jhakkarkatti bus stand, they were surrounded by the drivers. He said Madam, where should I leave it, I am sitting and listening to this much, he scolded me and warned me that if I am found doing this now, I will go straight to jail. After this, the drivers immediately apologized and asked not to do this in future. TI Manoj Kumar, TSI Sunil Kumar explained to the drivers and asked them not to surround the women and make them sit. The vehicle will be seized for abusive language.
