Kanpur News: Ayurvedic medicines are effective in allergic rhinitis, proved in the research of GSVM Medical College.

Kanpur: GSVM Medical College has now started researching Ayurvedic medicines along with trials. In this context, Ayurvedic medicine has proved to be more effective than allopathic medicines in allergic rhinitis. Its side effects have also been negligible. Only after the efficacy of the drug in allergic rhinitis was found to be better, the research paper was published in an international journal. Principal of Medical College, Prof. Sanjay Kala told in a conversation with the media that Dr. Yashwant Rao, Professor of Pediatrics Department of the college, along with the Vaidya of Rudrapur, has done research on the effect of a medicine called Imbo. In this, about 250 patients in the age group of four to 60 were divided into two groups.

The trial lasted for 6 months

The research was conducted on allergic rhinitis patients from July to December last year. One group was given allopathic medicines and the other group was given Ayurvedic medicine Imbo. In the results of the trial which lasted for six months, the results of Ayurvedic medicine Imbo were better than allopathic medicine. In Imbo medicine, Lauh Bhasma has been used along with 20 types of herbs, which does not cause any side effects. Pro. Kala said that the importance of Ayurveda has increased significantly in respiratory diseases in the era of air pollution. Thirty percent of the patients are affected by this disease. If such patients are not treated, then allergic rhinitis later turns into asthma.

Blue light is harmful for eyes

Assistant Professor Dr. Namrata Patel said that smoking can also have a negative impact on eye health. Studies have found smoking to increase the risk of cataracts, optic nerve damage and macular degeneration.Dr. Surbhi Aggarwal said that blue light emitted from screens like mobile, computer or television is very harmful for the eyes. It is also very important to keep blinking the eyelids. Principal of Medical College, Prof. Sanjay Kala said that people need regular eye tests. It is important to identify any problem occurring in your eyes and treat it in time.
