Kanpur. Traveling in Uttar Pradesh’s Kanpur Metro has now become even smarter. Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation has brought NCMC compliant card on the lines of One Nation One Card in Kanpur for the convenience of passengers, which was inaugurated by Chief Secretary of Uttar Pradesh Government Durgashankar Mishra on Tuesday. The inauguration program took place at IIT Metro station. UPMRC Managing Director Sushil Kumar and Metro staff were also present in the programme.
These will be the features of NCMC card

This debit or credit card of NCMC compliant Kanpur Metro can also be used as a smart card. There will be no need for passengers to buy tickets separately.

There will be a benefit of 10 percent discount on every journey. Another great feature of this card is that it is an inter-operable transport card. That is, this card can also be used for other metro, bus, parking, retail services of the country accepting NCMC.

Passengers will not need to stand in line for the journey. Your Debit/Credit card has to be used as a smart card.

23 banks are already providing NCMC cards to their customers. Most of the banks are providing this facility in Kanpur Metro.

With the NCMC card, there will be a facility to buy QR tickets for travel in the Metro.
Gosmart card part of Make in India
This scheme of Gosmart NCMC card in Kanpur Metro has been implemented in PPP mode with SBI. This scheme is part of ‘Make in India’ and SBI card is with ‘RuPay’ system. Kanpur Metro is already providing metro tickets through full digital payment mode with debit cards, credit cards and UPI from its ticket counters and ticket vending machines. Kanpur Metro also has facility to use smart mobile phone as Metro ticket by generating QR code ticket through Metro app.
