Kanpur News: Due to daily monitoring and cross checking of defaulters, Kanpur has made a big jump in the IGRS ranking. Kanpur has got 32nd position in UP. In August, the same ranking was at 48th and in the month of July, Kanpur’s rank was at 52nd. Kanpur got 126 marks out of 130 in September. At the same time, Kanpur was at number 75 in the IGRS ranking for the month of May. DM Visakh ji engaged all the ADMs and ACMs for cross-checking the resolved complaints. ACM Pratham Rajesh Kumar was appointed for default reference and overall monitoring. Default references are now being monitored every day. Along with this, notices are being sent to the departments with highest default.
45th rank of Kanpur Police Commissionerate
The IGRS ranking for the month of September has been released by the government. Kanpur Police Commissionerate jumped from 62nd rank in August to 45th rank in September. Kanpur Police Commissionerate was ranked 52nd in the ranking for the month of July. At the same time, 32 police stations remained at rank one. 9th rank in Har Ghar Jal Yojana
Kanpur has got 9th rank in the country in providing water to villagers under Har Ghar Jal Yojana. Kanpur has got seventh position in UP. Water has been supplied to the homes of 82.73 percent people. According to Jal Jeevan Survey 2023, water connections have been given to 1.40 lakh people. Ranking is issued on the basis of connections given under Har Ghar Jal Yojana and the status of water supply. Kanpur has got ninth position among 243 cities. Water is to be supplied through taps to 3.03 lakh houses in 902 villages of Kanpur. Till October 1, water has been supplied to 1.40 lakh houses through taps.
