Kanpur : On the occasion of the upcoming 154th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, Kanpur Municipal Corporation has started a continuous cleanliness campaign. Mayor Pramila Pandey started the 207-hour mega campaign by flagging off from Jageshwar Hospital located in the zonal office of Zone 5. On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, it will conclude on October 2 at 9 am at the Municipal Corporation Headquarters. This campaign has been started with the cooperation of 35 member team of Nikunj Education Society Bulandshahr and 25 member team of Municipal Corporation Kanpur. This campaign will run non-stop i.e. night and day. Cleaning workers were deployed in three shifts of 8 hours each. Is.

In Zone 1, Tatmil Square to Ghantaghar, Basmandi Square via Mall Road to Latoosh Road, Lalta Prasad Square to Moolganj, New Road to Sadbhavna Chowki, Pustak Market to Kotwali Square, Moolganj Square via Meston Road, Halsi Road to Badshahi Naka, Ghantaghar Square. The express road will run from Rain Basera, Narona Square to Watermill Square, Sen Balika Degree College to LIC Square, Phulbagh Square to Meghdoot Square, Income Tax Road to Chetna Square, DM Office from Sarsaiyaghat to Green Park Square.

On the occasion of the launch of the cleanliness campaign, the Mayor said that the Municipal Corporation should make such a strategy that the cleanliness campaign continues every day, for this, a team of about 100-100 sanitation workers should be formed by sorting from every ward in all the zones. Which should continuously run cleanliness campaign in every ward of its zone. Whichever zone comes first in cleanliness, the salary of the sanitation workers of that zone will be increased. In the zone which is lagging behind, the salary of the sanitation workers will be cut.
