Kanpur News: Now better treatment for deep wounds and other problems in feet due to diabetes will be available in the city itself. The government has given green signal to the construction of Diabetic Neuro Foot Lab in Halat. The responsibility of building this lab, which will be built at a cost of Rs 31 crore, has been given to the Government Construction Department. According to Medical Principal Dr. Sanjay Kala, efforts were being made for a long time for Diabetic Neuro Foot Lab. Finally, the government approved its construction. Dr. Saurabh Aggarwal, Professor of the Department of Medicine, said that now better treatment will be available in Halat for those diabetic patients who suffer from deep wounds in their legs. Even after injury, there is no feeling and it takes the form of ulcer. I lose feeling in my legs.
Construction will take place on the first floor of the medicine department.
According to Dr. Saurabh, the lab will be constructed on the first floor of the medicine department in Kanpur Halat Hospital, Kanpur. A new hi-tech ultrasound machine will also be installed in the lab. Apart from this, Dexa scan machine will also be installed at a cost of Rs 1.5 crore. Wards 11 and 12 will also be rejuvenated.
ERCP will be arranged
According to Dr. Saurabh, patients will also get the facility of ERCP in the lab. Apart from this, there will also be facilities for Neuropathy, Endoscope, Triple Endoscope. He said that till now, due to lack of this treatment facility, patients were referred to KGMU. Some even went to Delhi on their own will. Now this will not happen.
Importance of CPR explained in medical college
CPR awareness program was organized by National Medical Commission at GSVM Medical College. Through video conferencing, lab technicians, nursing staff, paramedical and other employees were also trained on the importance of CPR.
