Kanpur: The 25th convocation of Chandrashekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology (CSA) will now be held on December 19. Raj Bhavan granted permission for the ceremony. Earlier, the convocation ceremony was proposed to be held on December 1, but it was postponed from Raj Bhavan to November 28 due to unavoidable reasons. Preparations for the convocation started as soon as permission was received from Raj Bhavan. Registrar of the University, Dr. PK Upadhyay said that the new convocation ceremony was scheduled from Raj Bhavan. After getting the date, preparations have been started. The ceremony will start at 11 am. State Governor and University Chancellor Anandiben Patel will preside over the convocation. State Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi and Minister of State for Agriculture Baldev Singh Aulakh will attend as special guests. The chief guest will be waterman Dr. Rajendra Singh.
Rehearsal will be held on 18th December
In the ceremony, faculty-wise, 14 meritorious students will be awarded Chancellor’s Gold Medal, 14 meritorious students will be awarded University Silver Medal and 14 meritorious students will be honored with University Bronze Medal. 21 sponsored gold medals will also be given. Daughters have again won the medals. 56 percent medals will be given to girl students. Mandava Prabhakar Rao, managing director of Hyderabad Seed Company, will be honored with an honorary degree. Dr. Upadhyay said that the convocation rehearsal will be held on December 18.
This will be the dress code
The dress code of the students has been decided. Students will have to come wearing white shirt, black pants, red tie, blue sweater or blazer with black shoes. At the same time, red colored chunni and blue sweater along with white salwar suit has been decided for the girl students.
