Kanpur News: Now apart from B.Tech, M.Tech, BPharma and Biotech will also be taught in HBTU. Admission will be taken in B.Tech in Biotech and BPharma from session 2024. This decision was taken in the Academic Council of the University. In this, admission in B.Tech in Biotech will be taken on the basis of JEE Mains or CUET. At the same time, CUET has been kept as the eligibility criteria for admission in BPharma. A proposal has been sent to PCI for permission to conduct BPharma classes. Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Academic Council meeting was held under the chairmanship of Samsher, in which new courses were agreed upon. B.Tech in Biotechnology and BPharm courses will start from session 2024-25. Admission will be taken on 60-60 seats in these courses. Dean Academic Lalit Kumar said that apart from this, interdisciplinary B.Tech course in Energy and Environment will also be started. This course, which will be conducted in the Chemical Department, will be jointly supported by the Chemical, Bio Chemical, Civil, Mechanical and Oil Engineering departments. This course will also start from session 2024-25. However, seats for admission have not been determined yet. He said that under the new education policy, PhD ordinance has also been implemented. For the convenience of the students, a Student Advisory Research Committee will be formed, which will help the students from their admission till their PhD tenure.
