The air which became ‘green’ with a single gust of wind has then slowly started moving towards pollution. There is a possibility of fog again from Monday evening. Recently, the air quality, which had reached extremely dangerous levels due to strong stormy winds and drizzle at some places, suddenly improved when the weather patterns changed. Now the situation is getting worse again. Pollution at the local level is currently within limits due to closure of industrial establishments and halt of public transport due to the festive atmosphere. But, sluggish north-westerly winds can gradually increase the haze. Its effect will be visible by Monday evening.
Increase in pollution in NCR
Talking about cities other than Kanpur, at 6 am on Monday, November 13, the AQI level of Loni area of Ghaziabad increased to 276 and the air quality was recorded in the poor category, whereas after the rain on Saturday, the AQI here fell to 179. Was. In Noida too, air pollution increased after Diwali and AQI was recorded at 276, while Greater Noida’s AQI was 209 and the air quality was recorded in the poor category.
There was a change from morning to evening
Despite normal conditions, there was a difference in AQI at 06 am, 12 pm and 04 pm. In Nehru Nagar, AQI became 81 in the morning, 90 in the afternoon and 183 in the evening. At 2 o’clock in the night it had reached 65. NSI reached 88 in the morning, 90 in the afternoon and 91 in the evening. Similarly, in Kidwai Nagar it was 87 in the morning, 94 in the afternoon and 93 in the evening. It is likely to reduce due to strong winds in the evening.
