Kanpur: After UP T20 League, Green Park is open, three Ranji matches can be played…

Kanpur. After the successful organization of the UP T20 League in Green Park on the lines of the first IPL in the state, now the stadium will also host Ranji matches. BCCI’s domestic tournament has started. The big and old Ranji Trophy will start in January next year. The Tour and Fixture Committee of the Board has started allocating the ground for this tournament. Green Park is expected to get two to three matches. A camp is going on at Kamla Club for the BCCI Women’s Under-19 ODI Trophy to be held from October 10. The team will be announced after this.

Green Park hopes to get the match

UP’s first match is to be played with Kerala on January 5 at SD College Ground, Alappuzha. The second is to be played with Bengal on 12th January and the third with Bihar on 19th January, the fourth with Mumbai on 26th January at Wankhede Stadium, the fifth with Assam on 2nd February, the sixth with Andhra Pradesh on 9th February at Vizag Stadium and the last with Chhattisgarh on 16th February. Centers for three matches have been allotted. The remaining matches will be played soon. There is every hope that Green Park will get the remaining matches.

UPCA CEO Ankit Chatterjee said that Ranji matches will be held in Green Park. All the centers will be finalized by this month. Now only Green Park will get the remaining matches. Currently only three centers have been finalized. The centers for the remaining four matches will be announced soon. Green Park will get at least two to three matches.

General meeting on 30 September

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of BCCI representative UPCA will be held on 30th September, in which the preparations for the upcoming session will also be decided on the UPCA representative in BCCI. The pressure test regarding this has intensified. Brainstorming is going on on many names.
