Kanpur. After some time, staff and doctors will be available 24 hours in the Cardiology Institute. For this, an eight-floor residence will be constructed in the campus itself. This has been approved by the government and Rs. 30 crores have also been sanctioned to the institute. Construction will start soon. People from nearby districts and states of Kanpur come to the Cardiology Institute located in Rawatpur for treatment of heart diseases. Sometimes, when the condition becomes serious, patients have to be admitted to the hospital. During the day, patients are taken good care of, but at night, patients have to face some problems. Because most of the specialist doctors, surgeons and staff nurses go home at night. The entire institution remains in the hands of a few doctors and JR. Professor Rakesh Verma, Director of Cardiology, appealed to the government to find a solution to this problem. A proposal was made to build a house for them, which has been approved by the government. Also, Rs 30 crore has been sanctioned to the institute. Director Professor Rakesh Verma said that an eight-storey residence will be built in the cardiology complex at a cost of Rs 30 crore. A place has been identified for this. Doctors and staff nurses will reside in the residence. Patients will be immediately available in case of need at night.

Heart surgery will be possible 24 hours in cardiology

The state’s first cardiac unit will be built in LPS Heart Disease Institute. Heart surgery will be done here 24 hours a day. For this, the government has given the land of the Infectious Disease Hospital (IDH) of the Medical College. Besides this, a project worth Rs 46.3 crore has also been approved. Cardiac unit is no less than a gift for heart patients. Its design will be in such a way that if an epidemic like Covid occurs in the future, the entire unit will be converted into an epidemic unit within an hour. In the three-floor unit, the blocks of Red, Green and Yellow zones at the bottom and the ICU will be built on the lines of a dedicated hospital. Also, for the first time, an advanced hi-tech cathlab and heart station will be built in it, provision for 100 beds has been made in it.
