Justice Chakradhari Sharan Singh becomes the new Chief Justice of Odisha High Court, these states get new Chief Justices

The Center has notified the appointments of Chief Justices of six High Courts today i.e. on Friday. The six high courts include Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Patna, Guwahati, Allahabad and Meghalaya High Court. The Central Government has notified the appointments of judges in these High Courts. The Center has appointed Acting Chief Justice of Rajasthan High Court, Justice Manindra Mohan Srivastava as the Chief Justice of Rajasthan High Court. At the same time, Justice Ritu Bahri, acting Chief Justice of Punjab and Haryana High Court, has been made the Chief Justice of Uttarakhand High Court.

According to a report by Live Law, Patna High Court judge Justice Chakradhari Sharan Singh has been made the Chief Justice of Odisha High Court. Rajasthan High Court judge Justice Vinay Vishnoi has been made the Chief Justice of Guwahati High Court. Rajasthan High Court judge Justice Arun Bhansali has been made the Chief Justice of Allahabad High Court. At the same time, Madras High Court judge Justice S Vaidyanathan has been made the Chief Justice of Meghalaya High Court.

Justice Chakradhari Sharan Singh, senior judge of Patna High Court, has been made the Chief Justice of Odisha High Court. The central government issued a notification on Friday regarding his appointment. Justice Singh also worked as the acting Chief Justice of Patna High Court for some days. Justice Chakradhari Sharan Singh was appointed judge of Patna High Court on April 5, 2012. He will retire on January 19, 2025.

After obtaining a law degree from Delhi University, Justice Singh started practice in 1990. On 18 September 2010, he was declared senior advocate. In December 2010, he was appointed Additional Advocate General of the state in Patna High Court. On February 6, 2023, he was made the acting Chief Justice of Patna High Court. Apart from Justice Chakradhari Sharan Singh, five more judges have been appointed Chief Justice of various High Courts.
