For this, B.Ed degree will be mandatory. The Education Department has made it clear. Bihar Public Service Commission has issued advertisement for recruitment to new posts of about 1.22 lakh teachers.

There was a demand of B.Tech degree holders that they should also be given the opportunity to become teachers for classes six to eight. After considering the applications received regarding teacher recruitment, the Education Department has issued revised eligibility criteria for graduate category teacher candidates of classes 6 to 8. Now the department has said that the order of May 19, 2023 has been modified by further clarifying the qualifications for appointment of teachers in the notification issued earlier. The department has made it clear in the new notification that BCA with minimum 50% marks and two-year Diploma in Elementary Education, B.Ed, B.Ed Special Education, MCA with minimum 55% marks or its equivalent grade and three-year integrated B.Ed. -M.Ed will also be eligible for this appointment.
