JMM supremo Shibu Soren has said that Bangla speaking people are the natives of Jharkhand. Mr. Soren says that the Santal-Parganas, Manbhum Singhbhum, Dhalbhum and Panch Parganas regions of Jharkhand have a large population of Bengali speaking people. Bangla language is a common language spoken in a large part of the state. In fact, he has objected to the removal of Bangla language from the nameplates of many railway stations in Jharkhand.
In this regard, he has written a letter to Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav, requesting that after consulting the Jharkhand state government, information should be written on the plaques in Bengali language and tribal languages as well. He has written in the letter that the public sentiment of the natives of Jharkhand is that the names of the places here should be mentioned on the name plates of the railway stations.
Pakur, Barhwa, Jamtara, Mihijam, Madhupur, Jasidih, Maithon, Kumardhubi, Chirkunda, Kalubathan, Dhanbad, Gomoh, Parasnath, Hazaribagh Road, Muri, Ranchi, Hatia, Chakulia, Galudih, Rakha Mines, Tatanagar, Chandil, Kandra in the first state Bangla language used to be mentioned in the name plates of many old railway stations like , Chakradharpur, Chaibasa, Barkakana, Ranchi Road. For the past several years, it is being seen that the name written in Bangla language has been removed from this area, which is extremely impractical and unfortunate.
