Reliance AGM 2023: Mukesh Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Industries Limited (RIL), said today i.e. on 28 August that Reliance Jio’s 5G services have made the fastest start in the world and the company is on the right track to reach it across the country by December this year. In the 46th General Meeting (AGM) of the Board of Directors of Reliance Industries, Ambani said that Jio’s 5G services will be available across the country by December this year. More than five crore people in the country are using Jio’s 5G network. In this way, in the case of 5G, Jio is ahead of its other rival companies.
Jio Air Fiber announced to launch on Ganesh Chaturthi
On this occasion, Mukesh Ambani also announced the launch of Jio Air Fiber on 19 September i.e. Ganesh Chaturthi. Ambani said, more than one crore premises are connected to our optical fiber service Jio Fiber. Even now there are lakhs of campuses where it is difficult to provide wire connectivity. Jio Air Fiber will ease this difficulty. Through this we are expecting to reach 20 crore homes and premises. With the arrival of Jio Air Fiber, Jio will be able to add 1.5 lakh new customers every day. Jio’s optical fiber infrastructure is spread over 1.5 million kilometers across India. On an average, customers on optical fiber use over 280GB of data per month, which is 10 times more than Jio’s per capita mobile data consumption.
Jio True 5G Developer Platform and Jio True 5G Lab announced
In the general assembly, Mukesh Ambani also announced the release of Jio True 5G Developer Platform and Jio True 5G Lab. Ambani said, we are building a platform that will change the way Indian enterprises, small businesses and technology startups interact with the digital world. Keeping in mind the needs of enterprises, Jio has created a comprehensive platform combining 5G network, edge computing and applications. In the second Aarey Jio True 5G Lab, our technology partners can develop, test and co-create industry specific solutions, he added. This Reliance Corporate Park will be located in Navi Mumbai.
