Jharkhand: Young man murdered after kidnapping, burnt and thrown in Patratu valley

Ranchi: Mo Aftab, who lived near Ratan Police Post of Lower Bazaar police station area, was kidnapped and murdered. Earlier on October 13, Yusuf, Saddam and Bittu had kidnapped him. After killing Mohd Aftab, the accused packed his body in a trolley bag and took it to Patratu Valley. There the body was burnt along with the bag and came back. The entire matter came to light after the arrest of Yusuf.

According to the police, Mohd Aftab had borrowed some money from Yusuf. When Yusuf asked for money from Mohammad Aftab, he did not return the money. After this Yusuf along with his friends murdered him. It is noteworthy that Mohd Aftab’s family members had filed a complaint in this regard. When the police saw the footage, they found that Mo Aftab was going on the bike with Yusuf. After this the matter came to light. On Saturday, the police sent the remains of the burnt bag and some bones from Patratu Valley to the Forensic Science Laboratory for examination.

The bodies were packed in bags and taken to Patratu Valley.

Lower Bazaar police station in-charge Dayanand Kumar said that Mohd Aftab was missing since October 13. While investigating the case, the police saw Mohd Aftab going away on Yusuf’s bike in a CCTV footage. The police caught Yusuf and interrogated him. He told that apart from Saddam and Bittu, residents of Kokar, he had also kidnapped Mo Aftab. After this he was kept in Saddam’s house. Then after a few days he was murdered. After the murder, the body was packed in a trolley bag and taken to Patratu Valley in a car to dispose of the body. Went there and burnt the bag along with the dead body. The two accused in this case, Mo Saddam and Bittu, were arrested by the Lower Bazaar police a few days ago in the case of bike theft. Both are currently in jail.
