Anand Jaiswal, Dumka: Countering the challenge given by Water Resources, Roads and Building Construction Department Minister Basant Soren during a program in Jamtara recently, BJP state president and former Chief Minister Babulal Marandi has said that Basant Soren should become the minister. I am laughing at this point. Basant Soren has forgotten that the people of this Dumka Lok Sabha constituency have defeated his father Shibu Soren and mother Rupi Soren Kisku. Not only this, the public did not even allow his elder brothers Durga Soren and Hemant Soren to see the assembly. In the 2005 assembly elections, Durga Soren Jama and Hemant Soren were JMM candidates from Dumka assembly constituency. Shri Marandi said that in a democracy the public is the master and it is the public that has defeated his parents and brothers in his family. Only the public will bid him farewell.
MLA Amba Prasad’s allegations called political stunt
He termed the ED action as a political stunt after Congress MLA from Barkagaon Amba Prasad said that someone from BJP had made him an offer and the ED took action when he rejected the offer. Mr. Marandi said that this statement after the ED raid is only political. The Congress MLA should clarify who made the offer to him and when. If any person was found, when and where was he found. If someone talks on mobile, that too is recorded today. On being given summons to ED officials, he said that today Jharkhand Police is working as tools of the government. They should avoid doing this.
