Chatra, Hazaribagh and Gumla received 40 to 51 percent less rainfall. In Chatra this decrease was 51 percent. Palamu, Garhwa, Ramgarh, Pakur, Lohardaga, Jamtara, Koderma received 31 to 40 percent less rainfall. Farmers remained troubled due to lack of good monsoon rains. Farming was greatly affected.
