It will rain throughout the month of September

According to meteorologist Abhishek Anand, the pace of monsoon has been normal in the last 24 hours. There is a possibility of formation of a low pressure area in the Bay of Bengal in the coming time. According to the department, there is a possibility of rain at intervals of a few days throughout September. There may be isolated rain with thunder on 15th and 16th September. The department has issued a yellow alert regarding lightning.

There will be heavy rain in these districts

On Friday, there may be heavy rain at isolated places in Bokaro, Ranchi, Gumla, Khunti, Hazaribagh, Seraikela-Kharsawan, East Singhbhum, West Singhbhum and Simdega and other areas. Garhwa has received maximum rainfall of 77.2 mm in the last 24 hours. Jharkhand has received 602.4 mm rainfall since June 1, which is about 34 percent less than the normal rainfall of 913.4 mm. Ranchi received about eight mm of rain in the evening.

Why is it raining in Ranchi and surrounding areas?

Due to rain, power outages continued due to local faults in almost all areas. There is electricity problem in Arsande of Kanke for the last four days. There was power cut for about four hours in Arsande and surrounding areas on Thursday also. It was told that the LT line had fallen on the road in Arsande. Due to its repair, power supply remained closed for hours.

Apart from this, pole shifting work was going on for road widening and bridge construction between Bahubazar Chowk and Naya Toli bridge. Due to this, electricity supply was kept closed from 11 am to 4 pm in many localities near Old HB Road. On Thursday, power supply remained closed for one to one and a half hours due to pruning of tree branches in many places. Argora, Ashok Nagar, Kadru and surrounding areas were affected by this. In other areas including Harmu Patel Chowk, Naya Toli, electricity remained shut for one to two hours due to repairs and local faults.

Electricity available as per demand

At present electricity is available in the state as per the demand. About 22 MW power was available including DVC command area. However, demand has also decreased due to lack of electricity in Ranchi and surrounding areas due to rain.

There will be a slight drop in temperature. The weather will clear after 16.

Rain decreased by 35 percent

According to the data of the Meteorological Department, the normal rainfall from June 1 till now should have been 947.1 mm rain. But during this period only 616.1 mm rainfall has been recorded, which is 35 percent less than the normal rainfall.
