The weather center has issued orange and yellow alerts regarding this. The department has issued orange alert in 6 districts of the state and yellow alert in 7 districts. There is a high possibility of lightning during the alert. In such a situation, the Meteorological Department has appealed to the people to avoid this.

  • Orange alert districts – Sahibganj, Dhanbad, Bokaro, East Singhbhum, West Singhbhum and Seraikela Kharsawan.

  • Yellow alert districts – Godda, Dumka, Pakur, Jamtara, Ramgarh, Ranchi and Khunti.

  • On October 2, there may be heavy rain at isolated places in Sahibganj, Godda, Deoghar, Dumka, Sahibganj, Hazaribagh and Koderma.

  • On October 3, there may be heavy rain at isolated places in Garhwa, Palamu, Chatra, Latehar and Simdega districts of the western part of the state.

  • There may be a reduction in rainfall from October 4, but there will not be complete relief.

  • Do not go under a tree after hearing the flash of lightning or the sound of thunder.

  • Do not stand in a group at one place, maintain a distance of at least 15 feet.
