Electricity shortage due to storm and rain in many districts of Jharkhand
Due to the storm and rain on Friday afternoon, there has been a huge reduction in the demand for electricity. Where earlier there used to be demand for electricity up to 2600 MW, it has come down to 1100-1200 MW. The reason is that there is no electricity in five districts. These include Hazaribagh, Bokaro, Dhanbad, Koderma and Chatra. Electricity has been restored in some parts of Koderma late in the evening. The work of restoring electricity is also going on in Hazaribagh. On the other hand, electricity was completely cut off in Ranchi during the storm and rain. There was a complete power cut from 12.45 pm till around 3 pm. At the same time, electricity has not yet become normal in the rural areas of Ranchi. In Jamshedpur, Gumla, Simdega, Lohardaga, Khunti, Latehar, Garhwa, Palamu, Chaibasa, Seraikela-Kharsawan, some parts are getting electricity while there is no electricity in large parts.
