The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert in view of the possibility of thunderstorms and rain. People have been alerted to avoid lightning. It is advised not to stand under trees, electric poles and not to go to the fields during thunder. Here, due to light cloud cover on March 28, the maximum temperature of Ranchi was 0.8 degree Celsius lower than that of March 27. The maximum temperature of Ranchi was recorded at 33.9 degrees Celsius on Thursday. At the same time, the maximum temperature of Medininagar has reached 38.5 degrees Celsius.

Farmers advised to be careful

In view of the changing weather in Jharkhand, agricultural scientists of Birsa Agricultural University have advised farmers to be careful. It has been advised to make proper arrangements for drainage of vegetable crops and not to keep animals in the open. Spray any kind of medicine only when the weather is clear. Whatever Rabi crop has been harvested, keep it in a safe place and make preparations for it immediately in view of the clear weather. Repair the ridges to prevent water logging in the fields for hot paddy. If infestation of hoppers is seen in mango, then spray Phosphamidon 40 percent SL 0.5 ml/liter or Dimethoate 30 percent 2 ml/liter during the initial stage of flowering.
