Meteorological Department’s advisory for farmers

In view of the weather, Birsa Agricultural University has issued an advisory for farmers. Farmers who want to cultivate bitter gourd should plow the field as soon as possible and plant the seeds in pots at a distance of 1.25 to 1.5 meters. Scientists have said that the temperature is gradually increasing, which is going to be favorable for the growth of fishes. In such a situation, use cattle dung and lime to provide proper natural food for the fishes in the pond. Put cow dung on one side of the pond only. Also give extra food to the fishes. For this, use rice cake and mustard cake. After the mango and litchi trees bear fruit, irrigate them regularly. Remove the fruits that have fallen due to hailstorm from the fields and spray two percent urea on the damaged crops. Provide drainage facilities for crops and vegetables.
