Jharkhand: Threatening BDO cum MO proved costly for ration dealer’s son, police sent him to jail

Chatra, Showdown: Gidhaur BDO Misbehaving and threatening the co-MO proved costly for the dealer’s son. Within 24 hours, Vikas Kumar (father Jageshwar Dangi), resident of Gidhaur village, was arrested and sent to jail. In-charge BDO cum MO Harinath Mahato was returning to the block headquarters after examining several schemes on Friday. During this time, two card holders Munaija Khatoon and Razia Khatoon were carrying ration on the way. The car was stopped and both were interrogated. During this, it was found that Munaiza Khatoon was given 10 kg 600 grams ration instead of 15 kg and Razia Khatoon was given 28 kg ration instead of 35 kg. After this, the dealer of Gidhaur village immediately reached the Public Distribution System shop of Nageshwari Devi, where the dealer’s son Vikas Kumar was giving less ration to all the beneficiaries.

BDO threatened with transfer

The ration dealer’s son was distributing less ration by setting the electronic weighing machine. When asked to distribute complete grains among the beneficiaries, Vikas misbehaved with the BDO. Along with this he started giving various types of threats. Also threatened to get transferred within 24 hours. In this regard, BDO filed an application at Gidhaur police station and registered a case.

The accused was sent to jail

Police station in-charge Ghulam Sarwar said that on the basis of BDO’s application, a case was registered under case number 04/24 and a raid was conducted and he was arrested within about half an hour. Sent to jail on Saturday. Apart from the station in-charge, police sub-inspector Zaira Bakhala and many soldiers were included in the raid team.
