Ranchi, Abhishek Roy : Those who get better rank will get admission in good and cheap medical colleges (institutes). Studying in private colleges where expensive. At the same time, you can study better in government colleges with limited expenditure. These days the medical counseling process of Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) and Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (JCECEB) is going on. Now the successful students of UG NEET 2023 are trying to get the college of their choice on the basis of their rank. Seats will be available on the basis of common merit list

In the counseling process started by JCECEB, students will get seats on the basis of choice filling. Allotment of seats will be done on the basis of choice of college and eligibility criteria filled by the students. The council has released the state merit list on the basis of UG NEET score and rank. It includes students of all classes. Whereas, the allotment of seats in the Medical College will be based on the Common Merit List (CML) rank of the merit list. In this case, the choice of the students and their rank will be assessed.

Six government and two private medical colleges of MBBS

Jharkhand has six government and two private medical colleges for MBBS course. A total of 930 MBBS seats are fixed in these colleges, while local students will get 613 MBBS seats under state quota. In these, general category students will be enrolled for 251 seats. At the same time, 59 of EWS, 61 of SC, 155 of ST, 51 of BC-I and enrollment of BC-II students will be on 36 seats.

three dental colleges in the state

UG-NEET successful candidates have the option of Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) apart from MBBS. There are four educational institutions for BDS course in the state. Of these, a total of 363 BDS seats are fixed. Whereas, students will get nomination on 307 seats from the State Medical Counseling on behalf of the Council. In these, General seats have been fixed at 123, EWS – 29, SC – 32, ST – 80, BC-1 25 and BC-II 18.

BDS course cost less as compared to MBBS

The cost of BDS course is less as compared to MBBS course in medical colleges. However, the difference in course fees is in lakhs as compared to government and private colleges. For example, the annual course fee of Dental Institute RIMS (Government College) is Rs 38,000. At the same time, students will have to pay Rs 2,93,700 at the time of enrollment in Vananchal Dental College and Hospital Garhwa, which is included in the private dental college of the state itself. At the same time, a total of Rs 11,52,300 will have to be paid to complete the four-year degree course.

The cost of studying in AIIMS is Rs 1628 annually

The fee structure of MBBS course is the same in all the 20 AIIMS institutes across the country. AIIMS New Delhi has released the fee structure for session 2023. Under this, a total annual fee of Rs 1628 will be taken from the students as academic and other expenses. Hostel has been made mandatory for the students pursuing medical studies. In such a situation, the total annual expenditure on hostel and other expenses is fixed at Rs.4228. In this case, a student in AIIMS New Delhi will have to pay a total of Rs 5856 as annual fee. The same course fee has also been implemented in AIIMS Deoghar.

Annual fee of RIMS 48 thousand

The cost of MBBS course in private medical colleges is very high as compared to government colleges. For example, the annual course fee of MBBS in Government Medical College RIMS Ranchi is fixed at Rs 48 thousand. On the other hand, the annual fees of MBBS course in Manipal Tata Medical College Jamshedpur, a private medical college of the state itself, is divided into two categories. In this, students taking enrollment under MCC will have to pay Rs 16,09,000 annually. Whereas, general category students who get seats from state quota will have to pay Rs 12,96,750 annually and other category students will have to pay Rs 8,04,500.
