Jharkhand: There is illegal sand and gravel dump in front of CO residence, why are the officials not taking action?

Keredari (Hazaribagh), Arun Yadav: A large quantity of illegal sand and pellets has been stocked near the CO residence located at Keredari block headquarters of Hazaribagh district. Despite there being stock of illegal sand and pellets from tractors and highways in the headquarters premises, no action is being taken by the police administration. The lack of action against illegal business is questionable. CO Ram Ratan Varnwal said that the sand has been kept for road construction. When caught, a lot of lobbying begins.

Illegal transportation of sand starts in the evening

More than 50 tractors are engaged in transportation of sand from Pachada, Nauwakhap and Sijhua rivers of Keredari of Hazaribagh. As soon as seven o’clock in the evening, smugglers take out sand from these rivers and transport it through the Chattabariatu route. Sand is transported through this route overnight. People living on the roadside are quite troubled due to the operation of tractors on the Chattabariatu road throughout the night. Villagers said that illegal transportation of sand has made it difficult for people to sleep.

What does CO say?

CO Ram Ratan Varnwal said that the sand has been kept for road construction. After getting caught, a lot of lobbying starts arriving.
