Jharkhand: Students protested against JSSC’s ‘Tarikh Pe Tarikh’, student who committed suicide detained

Ranchi, Rana Pratap/Rajesh: The anger of the students of Jharkhand against JSSC i.e. Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission was at its peak. A large number of students came to protest outside the JSSC office in Namkum, Ranchi on Friday. There were strict security arrangements during this period. Angered by the working style of JSSC, students raised slogans of JSSC Hi-Hi. A large number of students from all over the state had come to protest. During this time a student tried to commit suicide. However, the police immediately took him into custody. The angry students alleged that due to the failure of JSSC, an examination was not being conducted even after eight years. Jharkhand General Graduate Qualified Combined Competitive Examination-2023 is being conducted for the last eight years, but the examination is being postponed again and again and new dates are being announced. Now the new dates have been announced as 21st and 28th January. If students are to be believed, this examination will also not be conducted because it will also have to be postponed due to the second examination. JSSC office was surrounded under the banner of Jharkhand State Students Union. Student leaders Devendra Nath Mahato, Manoj Yadav and other students were included in this.

JSSC is not able to conduct an examination in eight years

The examination of Jharkhand General Graduate Qualifying Combined Competitive Examination-2023 was scheduled on 16 and 17 December 2023. This examination was postponed on the night of 11 December. Then a new date was announced. Now the examination will be held on 21 January and 28 January 2024. Students are troubled by repeatedly filling the examination form, announcing postponement and then announcing the new date of the examination. Due to such repeated actions by JSSC since 2015, the anger of the students was at its peak. Even before this, students had protested against it.
