Rajrappa (Ramgarh), Surendra Kumar/Shankar Poddar: of Jharkhand Ramgarh Shubhashish Chakraborty, social scientist from Rajrappa district, will participate in the summit organized at the headquarters of the United Nations in New York on 30 November. He has been invited as a special guest to the UN Impact Summit. He will observe and encourage the work of the delegates who are doing excellent work in the field of social development and environment in the conference. The summit highlights the efforts of outstanding personalities and influencers in the field of society and environment, who are actively working towards the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Also, this program brings together selected talented youth including UN officials, diplomats, ambassadors, entrepreneurs, creatives from all over the world.
Gave lectures in 2019
Shubhashish Chakraborty told that he had given his lecture at the United Nations Headquarters in 2019. I have been invited as a special guest for the second time, which is a matter of pride for me. Let us tell you that Shubhashish has been awarded the Fellowship Award and Mahatma Award of the Ministry of Culture of the Government of India in the year 2006. He has served on senior positions in many prestigious institutions including the Indian Institute of Languages, Tata Steel Utilities and Infrastructure Services Limited, Tata Consultancy Services. For the last decade, he has been spending his salary in the development of the deprived community. Shri Chakraborty organized a cricket tournament between girls and boys in Pandadih village under Sonahatu block of Ranchi district. Bharat Ratna Sachin Tendulkar chose this effort as the best story related to the world of sports. He is doing many works in rural areas including promotion of Chhau dance, construction of medicinal nursery and library.
