Jharkhand: Six cyber criminals caught by police through Prakharpan app, 172 thugs arrested from Giridih in four months

This time, the police has succeeded in arresting six vicious cyber criminals by raiding Panchantand village of Ahilyapur police station area through Prakharpan app. The arrested cyber criminals include Abhishek Kumar Mandal, Sunil Kumar Mandal of Panchantand of Ahilyapur police station area, Suraj Kumar Mandal of Tundi, Dhanbad, Deepak Sao of Nimiaghat and Ujjwal Singh of Purulia, West Bengal. Police have recovered 16 mobiles, 38 SIM cards, 8 ATMs, 2 passbooks, 3 checkbooks and 1 bike from these cyber criminals. This information was given by Giridih SP Deepak Kumar Sharma on Thursday.

How did the arrest happen?

Giridih SP Deepak Kumar Sharma had received information through Prakharpan app that some cyber criminals are hiding in Panchantand village of Ahilyapur police station area and posing as fake bank officers to defraud people through fake SIM cards. After this information, SP formed a team under the leadership of Cyber ​​DSP Sandeep Suman Samdarshi. Puani Roshan Kumar, Sani Gaurav Kumar, Sani Gajendra Kumar, Saket Verma, Suresh Yadav were included in the team. When the team reached Panchchatand village and conducted the raid, some cyber criminals started running away after seeing the police. After this, the police personnel chased away and arrested 6 cyber criminals.

172 cyber criminals caught by police in four months

Giridih SP Deepak Kumar Sharma said that Giridih police is working under zero tolerance against cyber crime. In this campaign, in the last four months, Giridih Police has arrested a total of 172 cyber criminals and sent them to jail. Apart from this, 392 mobiles, 477 SIM cards, 154 ATM-passbooks, 10 check books, 17 PAN cards, 14 Aadhar cards, 27 vehicles, 3 iPads, 2 laptops and Rs 14,37,310 in cash have been recovered from these cyber criminals. Police has so far blocked 229 SIM cards and 680 IMEI numbers.
