SSP has given condolence to about a dozen police officers and soldiers deployed on duty from IIT ISM to Randhir Verma Chowk regarding the lapse in security of VVIP. Let us tell you that the Governor was with his convoy just behind the carcade of Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar. After the Vice President’s convoy crossed Randhir Verma Chowk, the police negligently opened the traffic block. Due to this, a long queue of vehicles formed from Police Line to Randhir Verma Chowk. Due to this the Governor got stuck in traffic jam. Governor Randhir Verma remained stuck at the Chowk for more than 10 minutes after the Vice President’s carcade passed. Later, the policemen deployed for security somehow removed the people and made way for the Governor.
