Jharkhand: Ranchi University becomes strict after Governor CP Radhakrishnan’s displeasure

Ranchi: Ranchi University administration has become strict after Governor cum Chancellor CP Radhakrishnan’s displeasure over not following the examination calendar in all the universities of the state. On the instructions of Vice Chancellor Dr. Ajit Kumar Sinha, Controller of Examinations Dr. Ashish Kumar Jha has instructed the principals of all minority and affiliated colleges to complete the online registration work of the students of the graduation session 2023-27 by March 27, 2024 under any circumstances. Principals were already instructed to complete the registration work by March 18, 2024, but it was not followed. Due to non-completion of registration work for semester one, Ranchi University is not able to follow its examination calendar. The controller of examinations has said that if the registration work is not completed even by March 27, then the university will leave such colleges and start the examination work. The principal of the concerned college will be responsible for this. The Controller of Examinations has also instructed to complete the registration work of postgraduate (session 2023-25) students. Without uploading mid semester marks, no student will be able to fill the examination form. Therefore, the Principal/Head of the Department should upload the mid-sem marks of UG and PG Semester One by April 2, 2024, so that the examination form can be filled from April 4, 2024. The university administration has said that Ranchi University is fully committed to complying with its examination calendar. The university administration will not accept any kind of laxity or neglect in this.

Now the guest faculty working under the university will not get priority in the appointment of need based teachers (need based teachers) on 299 posts in Ranchi University. In the light of the instructions of the Higher and Technical Education Department, Ranchi University has withdrawn the decision regarding giving priority. Also, instruction number 11 has been deleted in the advertisement. Many candidates had complained to the Higher and Technical Education Department and Raj Bhavan about guest faculty not being given priority in many universities and being given priority only in Ranchi University. The last date to apply online from the Chancellor Portal for appointment in Ranchi University is March 23, 2024, while the hard copy has to be sent by registered/speed post to the address of the Registrar of Ranchi University on April 3, 2024. There are different dates for applying for the appointment of need based teachers in other universities of the state through the Chancellor Portal. The last date to apply in DSPMU is 23 March 2024. Similarly, the last date for applying in Vinoba Bhave University is 31 March 2024, in Nilambar-Pitamber University it is 25 March 2024 and in Jamshedpur Women’s University, the last date for application is 29 March 2024. The date for applying in Sido-Kanhu Murmu and Vinod Bihari Mahato Koylanchal University has ended. Kolhan University has not yet issued advertisement in the Chancellor Portal.

Need based teachers were given advance amount of Rs 25 thousand

25 thousand rupees were given in advance to need based teachers, Ranchi. Vice Chancellor Dr. Ajit Kumar Sinha has instructed all the need based teachers working under Ranchi University to pay honorarium of Rs 25 thousand in advance in view of Holi. In case of non-receipt of funds from the Higher and Technical Education Department, the University has directed to pay the advance amount from internal sources. It is noteworthy that the honorarium has not been paid to Need Best Teacher for the last five months. In view of Holi and Eid, the teachers had demanded payment of honorarium from the Vice Chancellor. These teachers get an honorarium of Rs 57700 every month.
